Keren Carrión is a bilingual visual journalist based in Washington, D.C. She is currently a short-form video producer and photojournalist at NPR.

She was previously the photographer and videographer for KERA, an NPR and PBS affiliate in Dallas, and served as a Report for America corps member for two years.

Originally from Puerto Rico, she strives to tell the stories in her own communities and cares about the stories of underrepresented people.

She also worked as a video editor at CNN in Atlanta, GA, and has interned with USA Today, Univision, The Hill, and is an alumna of the New York Times Student Journalism Institute.

Keren attended the 2019 New York Portfolio Review, and the Eddie Adams Workshop XXXI in 2018. She was also awarded the West Award for the 2019 Momenta Workshops Project Puerto Rico.

Keren is a member of the White House News Photographers Association, the National Association of Hispanic Journalists, and a mentee in the 2018-2019 Women Photojournalists Of Washington Mentorship Program. 

She graduated from the George Washington University with a BFA in Photojournalism in May 2019.
